The general rule of thumb is one drink per person per hour of the reception. If you have 100 guests for 5 hours, plan for 500 drinks. A common split is 50% beer, 25% wine, and 25% liquor.

A standard 750ml bottle of wine contains approximately 5 glasses (5oz pours).

A standard 750ml bottle of liquor (fifth) contains about 16-17 mixed drinks (1.5oz per drink).

Plan for 1.5 to 2 pounds of ice per guest. This covers ice for drinks as well as keeping the bottles and cans chilled in tubs.
